Based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, I offer face 2 face and online sessions for individuals, couples and families.
I also design and facilitate wellbeing workshops, therapeutic/process art classes and programs for groups, face 2 face or online
With over 20 years experience in the health and wellbeing sector, my wish is to create a supportive, nurturing and therapeutic space for you to freely express and explore what is going on for you, be open to new perspectives, create positive change and discover your full potential to live your best life!
I have observed art and expressive therapies, including somatic (body based) therapy combined with traditional counselling techniques to be beneficial and supportive to our health, mental health and wellbeing.
When we are able to express ourselves in ways that align with us, we can experience change in our perspective, develop self awareness, deep emotional healing ,healthier relationships and empowerment.
I believe that we all have this power within us, sometimes we just need some support and guidance to help us access it.
"My passion for supporting others came from my own personal journey with health and well-being. I discovered a deeper understanding of what best supported me - mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually through holistic therapies.
I found by combining holistic counselling, art & expressive therapies, mindfulness, movement & nature I was able to process personal trauma, deep feelings, emotions, challenges and issues that impacted my life. This fusion allowed a wonderful, gentle yet powerful way to reconnect with myself & others in a meaningful way.
As I loved nature & creativity , I was naturally drawn to therapeutic conversations, where I was given guidance and space to process and empower myself using alternative and creative modalities within the therapy space.
My creativity and curiosity encouraged exploring & learning many different modalities, working with art & expressive therapies, using symbol work, storytelling, writing, journaling, visualisation, mindfulness, body based therapies, yoga and massage, it was life changing for me and so empowering!
I believe that we are always on a journey of discovery however, accessing these tools has continued to support me to work through challenges and issues that arise. These healing modalities enabled me to create positive change in my life, open my mind and my heart to possibilities, to love myself and others, develop my confidence & self worth, self awareness, gratitude, acceptance & compassion - to find joy in the smallest things.
Along the way I also discovered my passion and purpose, this is why I am here today and so grateful to share it with you!"

Why the spiral?
The symbol of the spiral often represents the journey of self-discovery, where one continuously evolves and grows, spiraling towards a deeper understanding of oneself and the world.
I also love the Positive Psychology theory of the upward spiral , the opposite of the down ward spiral which we often focus on. Such a wonderful and powerful tool to change our perspective and encourage a positive mood by finding joy and positivity in the simple moments of every day life.
I embrace this and work from a strength based, person centred framework, encouraging realistic hope and resilience while embracing possibility and opportunity ,
Positive thinking and it’s power to self-generate an upward spiral is a concept from positive psychology, Barbara Fredrickson’s broaden and build theory. This theory believes that positive emotions broaden one’s attention and cognition, and therefore initiates upward spirals of emotional and physical self-development.
Positive thoughts. Yes, it sounds simple, and I acknowledge that life is not all "butterflies and rainbows" however, our thoughts have a big impact on many areas of our life. Not only can positive thinking improve your relationships, your confidence, mental and emotional health and even your physical health, it can also counteract negative emotions!

I am a Level 2 ACA Registered Counsellor, I have extensive experience working with and supporting children, young people, adults, elders, families and community. I am passionate about supporting individuals, couples and families through trauma ,FDV, grief, mental health, challenging times, life transitions and events.
I have been fortunate to work in various roles within my professional career, Including
I am grateful to those who have trusted me to witness and honour their personal experiences, stories and events. I am extremely thankful for the opportunity to experience and learn from these real life situations and at times bear witness to painful and traumatic life events.
These experiences been invaluable to me in developing a deeper awareness, respect, understanding ,empathy and integrity to best support others in a profession that I love.
